I have to admit, Jen’s & Friends has become standard on our barhopping routine. Their endless martini list just keeps calling me back. If I had to pick a favorite, I would say the Pomegranate Martini is my all time fav, but some of my friends might disagree. They are all reasonably priced at $6 and $7 a pop, and are always garnished to my hearts content, be it the traditional olives, a peanut butter cup, or a lolly-pop.
Although small, it is conveniently located just a block north of Broughton on Bull St, and boasts a friendly staff, great martini’s (my pic), and inexpensive beer, $2 for a bottle, (a must for my boyfriend.) Jen’s is also open at lunch for the working folks, and I would love to try her variety of sandwiches. If her attention to detail is anything like what she puts into her drinks, I am sure they will please. I have found a variety of bands play at Jen’s, but they are generally low key, and it still allows for you to talk to your friends without yelling, and although it resides in a non-smoking building, Jen has 3 outdoor tables available for the smoking kind. The bathrooms are impeccable, and probably some of the best kept in Savannah. Jen’s is a great place to gather with friends, relax and try 100 different martinis. I am sure that even after I have tried every martini on the menu, I will continue to revisit this little watering hole. --Review by Gypsy Leigh |
