But for soups, sandwiches, salads, not to mention coffees and pastries, this place is a delight. More than anything, the fresh baked breads, ranging from French Sourdough to Nine Grain, to Pumpernickel, Italian Pesto or Sundried Tomato, among others, make the day here.

Right now in Spring, it’s even more special than usual, with the rolling out of their “Peach Persuasion” promotion highlighting Georgia’s beloved peaches.

Fresh brewed peach iced tea came as a peachy surprise to me on a recent visit.

The Savannah Salad, features mixed greens, grilled chicken, peach slices and toasted almonds drizzled with peach vinaigrette. Or the Georgian Sandwich, with the diced chicken breast I love year in and year out in their Curried Chicken Salad sandwich, now is combined with mayo, tarragon, toasted almonds and peaches.

Of course, the traditional roast beef, breast of turkey, Pastrami or Avocado sandwiches remain as guaranteed appetite pleasers.

Everything here is top drawer, not least of which are the pastries and gourmet coffees. Right now, the peach theme is echoed in the Almond Peach Delight, a pastry featuring almond cream filled topped with sliced peaches. Or the Peaches ‘n Cream Muffin and the Peach cheesecake.
